In 1993, Ruben Pena
from Selma, CA while working at Sumner's Vintage Cycles
came up with the idea of "ANC". ANC stands for "A
Nation Creation". For over a decade, Jim Nation
has been a friend of Ruben's. The two met shortly
after Ruben was hired on to work for Wayne Sumner at the
shop.
Jim Nation became involved with
motorcycles at the age of thirteen. In 1950, while
living in Bakersfield California with his parents, Jim's interest in the sport
started when a neighbor drove past his house with a red Triumph
with yellow number plates. From that day forward, Jim's love
and passion for motorcycles and racing grew.
Today, Jim sponsors many long
time legends and young up and coming riders. His
enthusiasm is greatly appreciated and helps keep the sport of
vintage motocross alive.
